Last Days of the US Open

So last night I missed out on the infamous semi-finals match that’ll make everyone remember Serena Williams for. While I congratulate Kim Clijsters’ bizarre win and plays against Caroline Wozniacki tonight for the Women’s Finals—Serena pretty much went ballistic on the court last night for a foot fault called out on her by a line judge. I haven’t watched much of the Women’s tennis games lately, but I haven’t seen anyone else really go that crazy over something like that. Her choice of words really costed her and was booed off the court for her behavior. Prior to her second penalty, Williams had already broken her racket which resulted in a penalty. It’s also been reported that she will be fined with $10,000 for her behavior and $500 for breaking her racket. Sad.

The semi-finals between the men were much more interesting. Juan Martin Del Potro (6) defeated Rafael Nadal (3) in today’s match: 6-2, 6-2, 6-2. Roger Federer also played today against my mom’s favorite, Novak Djokovic.  This was definitely the best shot I’d ever seen him do and Novak just couldn’t stop the Federer Express. Simply unbelievable! Look closely at how low the ball is and close to the ground. Crazy!
