[CUTE] Gelaskins
I’ve always wanted one of these custom-designed covers for one of my stuff. The first time I came across this site, most of their custom designs were done by other artists and having visited this site again last night, there’s the added option now if you want to use your own artwork. I love that! I’m thinking of using one of my own and putting it on my game systems. What’s cool about it is that it’s removable, so if you want to switch it up—you... Read More
[TV] Bizarre Foods Season Premiere
I’m watching the season premiere now of Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel and there’s one dish there that I would like to try. It’s called, Dancing Shrimp. The tiny shrimps used in the dish look like the dried ones we normally got at the market in the Philippines, mixed with toasted rice powder and fresh herbs go into the dish. I bet it’s delicious; other things he’s eaten in tonight’s episode, I’m not so sure about. Toasted dung beetles?... Read More
[TV] River Monsters Death Ray
Last night was the season premiere of River Monsters on Animal Planet and I was loving every minute of it. I’ve never seen or heard of a freshwater sting ray before. But like my sister said, “There’s a freshwater shark, so a freshwater sting ray’s possible.” Very true. What amazes me is that these creatures are real and you never know where they’re lurking; and if you didn’t know they exist—learning something new is what makes it... Read More
[NEWS] They’re Crazy
Volcano eruptions are one of the most scariest things that could happen to a place in such a short amount of time. It’s great that it adds to the land, but in the process, disrupting the landscape and changing it. I remember the eruption of Mount Pinatubo when I was growing up in the Philippines and that scared me. I commend those who report the news and the photographers who take pictures of these events, but there’s just some people who are crazy enough to go that... Read More
[MOVIES] I Remember This
When I was on YouTube trying to find some of the old pieces we played in school for orchestra—while this has NOTHING to do with orchestra, it came to mind anyway. It’s Donna Cruz’s Kapag Tumibok Ang Puso from Andrew Ford Medina. I hadn’t heard this song in ages, but once I heard the song—this particular scene in the movie came to mind instantly! To this day, I still love this song. Read More
[MUSIC] Last dot FM
Anyone else use Internet radio sites these days? If so, which? I know you can access the website through iTunes also and scrobble from there. I ask this because my aunt earlier wanted something to listen to (more Gospel music) and I thought it would be a good idea to make her an account. Rather than always relying on her CDs, she can just access her library through her account and leave it running since she has her laptop on all the time anyway. And if you don’t use any... Read More
[MUSIC] Ore Ska Band
I don’t know what to think of this song other than the repetitive mention of bicycles is pretty annoying throughout the song. I know the song is called, “Jitensha” (Bicycle) but what exactly do bicycles have anything to do with the series? I know I’ve liked many of the songs they’ve used throughout the series, but the more I watch, the more I pay attention to what’s going on in the scenes (both in the opening and ending themes) to match the... [TV] Thursday TV
OMG! Yesterday was full of aftenoon marathons and all-new episode of CSI; I decided I was going to watch the Destination Truth marathon more than Ghost Adventures yesterday because they hardly have any air-time when they’re off-season. Then I watched CSI when it came on at 9PM. I thought it was going to continue with last week’s episode, but since Langston got knocked out last week and he was only on for a few minutes in last night’s episode—it was more... Read More
[PHOTOS] Well This Makes Me Kind of Sad
I’m over here updating my links section and while I have a thing for checking out links to make sure they still work, I have one there that’s no longer available online. When I did Sr. Graphic Solutions Team at JWU, we worked with one of the local schools on giving students a crash-course on Digital Photography. From learning how to use a camera to taking photographs and uploading them on the Web—this gave kids the opportunity to learn something different. I... Read More
[WATCHING] Kamichama Karin
I remember going into Comics & Things and seeing the Di Gi Charat CD and thought, “OMG! It’s so cute!” and bought it. Ever since then, I’ve been a fan of Koge-Donbo (she’s also now on Twitter) and her manga. While it might seem like all of her characters have the same hairstyles (which some of them do!) I like the stories in each manga. I know, the heroine reminds me of Sailor Moon’s ditzy ways and attitude but the Di Gi Charat series is... Read More
[WEB] Plurk
I signed up for Plurk about 5 months ago when Ghost Adventures was doing their live event at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, West Virginia. It was all about spreading the word for the upcoming event and bringing up the popularity of Ghost Adventures even more. I think much of the show’s success was brought about when devoted fans made sure people got word about the show. While the live show was almost sabotaged due to some mishap, the regular season shows,... Read More
[API] TweetDeck Facebook Issue
Recently if you’ve been using TweetDeck desktop and if it’s synced to your Facebook, then you know you were getting an API message popping up requesting to post to your Wall. This unannounced API change caused issues whenever you opened TweetDeck. Luckily, TweetDeck has come up with a solution to solve this issue. And good thing they did because I was getting sick and tired of having to type in my login information every time I opened it—it was just a hassle. If... Read More
