[TV] Bizarre Foods Season Premiere
I’m watching the season premiere now of Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel and there’s one dish there that I would like to try. It’s called, Dancing Shrimp. The tiny shrimps used in the dish look like the dried ones we normally got at the market in the Philippines, mixed with toasted rice powder and fresh herbs go into the dish. I bet it’s delicious; other things he’s eaten in tonight’s episode, I’m not so sure about. Toasted dung beetles? Raw cow intestines? A type of rat related to the naked mole rat? I don’t know if I can stomach those—but it doesn’t hurt to try as long as they’re cleaned properly. I’ve eaten goat before, and I didn’t like the taste to it. I don’t know if it was cleaned properly, but it definitely scarred me for life and I won’t try it ever again.
Do you like the idea of eating a bizarre dish? Have you ever eaten a “bizarre” dish? Would you try any of the dishes you see in this program?
