If you’re a fan of Super Mario Galaxy (or just a Super Mario fan), well you’re in luck because Mario’s back in an all-new adventure! This time he’s accompanied by his dino-friend, Yoshi. Together, Mario and Yoshi set out on new planets, encounter enemies and come across new puzzles as you explore the galaxies.
I’m definitely excited to see Yoshi in this one because this only means that Mario will be able to explore in ways he wasn’t able to do in the first game. I liked being able to turn in to Bee Mario and Boo Mario—and I liked the ball-rolling challenges the most. I loved it whenever I’d mess it up because you have to be creative enough to maneuver him in and out of certain areas while trying to keep balanced and not lose your cool at the same time. However, I did hate the sting ray races; I’d always fall off the course if I made the turns too fast while trying to beat the target time. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is available in-stores May 23rd.
I thought this was hilarious! And before you go and say, “What’s wrong with you?! He could have been hurt?” Puh-lease! He was asking for it. I saw this video the other day online and I heard about it again on the news this morning. They said that the father let him do it, but he didn’t think his son would actually do it. They even interviewed the mother of the boy for a comment and it sounded more like she was sympathizing for the team rather than her son. She was quoted to find her son in this situation to be “shocking” .
You know there’s people who frown upon things like that; and it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt or gets caught doing it. Let alone, someone’s paying big money to see the Phillies play against the Cardinals and not watch some dummy run around the field during the game. Oh well.
This is probably one of the most annoying boss battles I’ve come across recently (I know, I know). People will tell me to CP grind and use Sab/Syn/Syn or something like it depending on your party. Well, this cap features Vanille, Lightning, and Sazh and it’s not bad. This is also probably the most time I’ve spent playing this game since I bought it when it came out. Hopefully I beat him soon because I’m dying to finish this game and get it out of the way already. I’m ready to play something entirely different other than Final Fantasy XIII (I’m talking about you, Professor Layton 3!) Other than that, hopefully after this game, I’ll come back and blog a lot more and get back to posting up the rest of the content I’ve been meaning to put here. So until next time, hope everyone’s having a good Wednesday.
I’ve always wanted one of these custom-designed covers for one of my stuff. The first time I came across this site, most of their custom designs were done by other artists and having visited this site again last night, there’s the added option now if you want to use your own artwork. I love that! I’m thinking of using one of my own and putting it on my game systems. What’s cool about it is that it’s removable, so if you want to switch it up—you can.
I’m watching the season premiere now of Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel and there’s one dish there that I would like to try. It’s called, Dancing Shrimp. The tiny shrimps used in the dish look like the dried ones we normally got at the market in the Philippines, mixed with toasted rice powder and fresh herbs go into the dish. I bet it’s delicious; other things he’s eaten in tonight’s episode, I’m not so sure about. Toasted dung beetles? Raw cow intestines? A type of rat related to the naked mole rat? I don’t know if I can stomach those—but it doesn’t hurt to try as long as they’re cleaned properly. I’ve eaten goat before, and I didn’t like the taste to it. I don’t know if it was cleaned properly, but it definitely scarred me for life and I won’t try it ever again.
Do you like the idea of eating a bizarre dish? Have you ever eaten a “bizarre” dish? Would you try any of the dishes you see in this program?
Last night was the season premiere of River Monsters on Animal Planet and I was loving every minute of it. I’ve never seen or heard of a freshwater sting ray before. But like my sister said, “There’s a freshwater shark, so a freshwater sting ray’s possible.” Very true. What amazes me is that these creatures are real and you never know where they’re lurking; and if you didn’t know they exist—learning something new is what makes it so exciting in the first place. The mention of the size and weight of this animal plus his rod snapping and hitting him in the face was just what I would’ve hate to see. I remember a scene like it on America’s Funniest Home Videos—and that’s no joke! I couldn’t imagine the pain and injuries he’d endure even more if that was the case. Having torn his arm already from his first attempt and stories of people having been attacked by the animal—it was an intense season opener.
The giant stingray can grow to be as long as 16.5 feet and weigh as much as 1,200 pounds — potentially the largest freshwater fish on the planet. If that’s not enough to get your attention, it’s also arguably the most bizarre-looking one, with its outlandishly wide, pancake-flat body and whiplike tail. It’s believed to spend its days lurking in dark, muddy river bottoms in Thailand, Cambodia, Borneo, New Guinea and Western Australia. But the giant freshwater stingray is as mysterious as it is exotic. It wasn’t discovered by humans until around 1990, even though the Himantura chaophraya is likely an ancient species, millions of years old. Southeast Asian fishermen have caught a few big stingrays over the years, mostly by accident.
Also, when after final catching the motherlode of freshwater fish—they get a little surprise from data collecting—the mother gives birth to 3 live young! The young were larger than the size of a dinner plate! It’s definitely one of best episodes so far that I’ve seen since starting to watch this show a few months ago.
Volcano eruptions are one of the most scariest things that could happen to a place in such a short amount of time. It’s great that it adds to the land, but in the process, disrupting the landscape and changing it. I remember the eruption of Mount Pinatubo when I was growing up in the Philippines and that scared me. I commend those who report the news and the photographers who take pictures of these events, but there’s just some people who are crazy enough to go that “extra mile” to get that perfect shot. You could not get me to stand that close to lava even if I had time to run away. Nope!
When I was on YouTube trying to find some of the old pieces we played in school for orchestra—while this has NOTHING to do with orchestra, it came to mind anyway. It’s Donna Cruz’s Kapag Tumibok Ang Puso from Andrew Ford Medina. I hadn’t heard this song in ages, but once I heard the song—this particular scene in the movie came to mind instantly! To this day, I still love this song.
Anyone else use Internet radio sites these days? If so, which? I know you can access the website through iTunes also and scrobble from there. I ask this because my aunt earlier wanted something to listen to (more Gospel music) and I thought it would be a good idea to make her an account. Rather than always relying on her CDs, she can just access her library through her account and leave it running since she has her laptop on all the time anyway.
And if you don’t use any Internet radio services, what do you use more? iPod/MP3 Player/Cell phone? iTunes playlist? Media Player? WinAmp? Other?
I don’t know what to think of this song other than the repetitive mention of bicycles is pretty annoying throughout the song. I know the song is called, “Jitensha” (Bicycle) but what exactly do bicycles have anything to do with the series? I know I’ve liked many of the songs they’ve used throughout the series, but the more I watch, the more I pay attention to what’s going on in the scenes (both in the opening and ending themes) to match the songs they’re playing.
ORESKABAND (オレスカバンド, Oresukabando?) is an all-female ska band from Sakai, Japan. They have released two full albums in Japan, Ore in July 2006, and WAO!! in May 2007, as well as a self-titled compilation album for a US release, Oreskaband. They have performed in Japan, Canada and the United States, including the Fuji Rock Festival.
The band name, “ore ska band,” literally translates as “we’re (a) ska band”. While “ore” is normally an extremely masculine and casual way to say “I” in Japanese and the suffix “-tachi” is added to personal nouns when emphasizing that they are plural, it’s clear in this context that “ore” means something more along the lines of “we fellows”. The choice of “ore” is also one of gender play, as the band usually appear wearing boys’ school uniform in their videos and concerts.
I think I’m just hating on the song right now.
*Update: This song is starting to grow on me. OMG!
